Change Makers Panel:

Melissa Thorpe – Head of Spaceport

Melissa is working to actively change the space industry, with Cornwall leading the way. From improvements in inclusion to a green space agenda, Melissa is working hard to make positive changes in a very traditional industry.

Sarah McAndrew – Founder and Creative Director of Games company Inspirit360

Sarah is working hard to change gaming to make it more inclusive from the avatars you can choose, to the types of games available to play. Sarah is tired of the outdated tropes in gaming and believes we should be able to have a gaming world reflective of the beauty in diversity found in the real world.

Suzanne Edwards – Senior Accessibility Standards Manager, Airbnb

Suzanne is making the travel industry more inclusive and accessible. Suzzane also likes breaking bias in her free time, competing in para surfing and wheelchair tennis.

This event is part of Change + Makers, a week-long festival showcasing the work of female creators in Cornwall to coincide with International Women’s Day.

Film screenings, performances and exhibitions sit alongside workshops, networking opportunities and panel discussions. The event aims to encourage organic networks and collaboration, and to provide support and information to practitioners across the county.

The programme is organised by Cultivator Cornwall and the University of Plymouth, partnering with SheProducer & TEC Women, and supported by Old Bakery Studios.
