Take Up Space was a free afternoon of space, technology, engineering, and creativity hosted by CSATT, TEC Girls and CIoS Digital Skills Partnership at Truro & Penwith College on 3rd November 2022.
The event was aimed women, girls, and non-binary people interested in finding out more about careers in space and tech.
We invited participants to launch their own rocket, code a mars rover, try out virtual reality, and more. We also had a range of space and tech companies to chat to, and the opportunity to network with experts in the sector.
The event sold out well before the day, with over 90 on a waiting list. We had coverage on ITV Westcountry, BBC Spotlight, and BBC Radio Cornwall.
